Rosio Magallon
Rosio Magallon grew up in Dixon, CA, about 20 minutes from Sacramento. She is a rising 2L at McGeorge School of Law, actively involved in several student organizations including the Latinx Law Student Association, First Generation Association, Womxn of Color Collective, and is a founding member of the McGeorge Running Club. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2018 with a double major in Sociology and Social Welfare, which instilled in her a deep understanding of the legal system and the resources available to support those in need.
Before starting law school, Rosio worked as a plaintiff paralegal in the Bay Area for five years. She has since moved back north to continue her legal education. Outside of her studies, Rosio values spending time with her family, who have been a constant source of support. As the eldest sibling with two younger sisters and Mexican immigrant parents, she has paved the way as a first-generation high school and college graduate, and now law school student. Rosio is dedicated to finding her legal path and aspires to join the 2% of Latina attorneys in the U.S.
Rosio enjoys running, reading, experiencing the outdoors and finding the best cup of coffee during her free time.
