Marie C. Avery

Marie joined Krogh & Decker as a law clerk in 2022. Her primary focus is on advising clients facing complex legal challenges in business, employment, and contract law. Marie advises clients through business structure transactions, corporate governance, employee relations, workplace policy compliance, dispute resolution, and provides strategic counsel on contract negotiations and breach of contract claims.

Marie graduated from McGeorge School of Law after accepting a full-tuition, merit-based scholarship. While at McGeorge, Marie was a Primary Editor for the McGeorge Law Review and served as treasurer for the Environmental Law Society. Prior to attending law school, Marie graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Fresno with a B.A. in Political Science.

In her free time, Marie enjoys chasing after her two children, playing trivia with her friends, painting, and catching up on the latest true crime podcast.
